BBQ Accessories Checklist

Compulsory BBQ Accessories

1) Fire Starter
Fire starters makes it essentially easier to start charcoal fire. This is especially important when barbecue pit is near the beach, strong wing makes it difficult to start charcoal fire. Thus to save time, fire starter is a mandatory accessories in your BBQ Checklist.

2) Charcoal
Charcoal is a MUST if your having outdoor charcoal barbecue, unless your using gas grill, charcoal and fire starter is not required.

3) Lighter / Matchstick
It would be wise to bring lighter or matchstick. Alternatively if your at BBQ Wholesale store, you can get FREE lighter if you "LIKE" their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/BBQWholesale

4) Wiremesh
If you are using a public barbecue pit, it will be wise to purchase extra wiremesh for hygiene purpose.

5) Fan
It is wise to bring a fan, as it will make start fire so much easier.

6) Tongs
Tong is required to grill the food, or else will not be able to flip the food.

7) Paper Plates
Hold the food when eating for your guest. Do not use plastic plate, as the scorching hot bbq food will melt the plastic plate. It is extremely unhealthy as you will be consuming melted plastics.

8) Paper Cups / Plastic Cups
Paper cup to hold your drinks.

9) Plastic Fork and spoon
To eat your food.

10) Bamboo Skewer
This disposable skewer will come in handy especially when you need to grill finger food such as hotdogs, nugget, crab sticks and prawn. By slotting skewer through the food, will make BBQ so much easier and convenient.

11) Napkins / Wet Tissue
We will need to clean off the greasy stain on our hands and mouth after eating.

12) Table Cloth
If your using public BBQ pit, it is advisable to get table cloth for hygiene purposes.

Good to Have BBQ Accessories

1) Styrofoam Box
Styrofoam can be extremely useful as it helps to store raw food and prevent it from spoiling. Additionally, you may use the Styrofoam box to hold your packet and canned drinks. Simply pour ice and packet drinks in the Styrofoam and the Styrofoam will ensure the drinks stay cold throughout your party. Reason why I put Styrofoam box under "good to have" instead of "compulsory" checklist is because it is not friendly to the environment.

2) Trash Bag
Large rubbish bin are now located beside public BBQ pits, hence trash bag is a optional choice, as you may just throw trash into the extremely large rubbish bin.

3) Steel Skewer
Optional if you do not have bbq session often. Stick to bamboo skewer will do.

4) Knife
Optional unless you need to cut food. Careful of cross contamination, never use knife concurrently on raw and cooked food.

5) Oil Brush
If you purchase marinated BBQ food item, oil brush is non-compulsory, the marinade in BBQ food items already have oil, hence it is very unhealthy to brush more margarine on bbq food. Skip the margarine and oil brush, not only will you save extra bucks, you get to eat healthily too.
